the waiters' remedies, or depending on
the speci昀椀c situation. We didn't just get a
standard solution, we got a custom-made
solution, particular due to Henrik Bodhi
for the good cooperation and dialogue
about what exactly we needed. It is also
a huge advantage that Henrik knows the
industry. He knows the work昀氀ows in a
hotel, what happens in the kitchen,
restaurant, guests, etc., and this affects
the entire collaboration", says Karsten
Felvang.
Functional and beautiful at the same
time
He emphasizes that Steelwood Concept
is a supplier where the functionality of the
products is top notch and at the same
time the products are nice to look at - and
then you can have things made so that
they are very personal and match the rest
of the interior.
"They are good at that.
It's quality and good
craftsmanship, and it's the best
buffets we've ever had"
says Karsten Felvang.

Dialogue based on previous
experiences.
Before the work in Steelwood Concept's
workshop really got under way, Karsten
Felvang had an initial dialogue with Herik
Bodhi about wishes and needs, and
learned from his experiences with prvious
buffets, he had several points he wanted
to focus on - he has tried standing with
some laminate editions where corners
were easily knocked off and the wheels
wobbled. It was therefore important to
have a solution that was both solid and
attractive. The buffets are often heavily
loaded and are transported around the
6-story building, and of course they must
be able to withstand that.
"It was also important to us that it is easy
to get to the plates and the other service,
and at the same time it must be easy for
the guests to get around the buffet. And
then they must be able to be closed so that
they look nice when they are not in use",
says Karsten Felvang, who with Steelwood
Concept's buffets has got a solution that
matches the 昀氀exibility that is pervasive in
the restaurant landscape at Scandic Spectrum, where room within room creates an
absolutely ideal setting for intimate dinners as well as larger parties.

Steelwood Concept has delivered bufets
to Scandic Spectrum and Scandic
Falkoner and, in addition, cutting boards,
wooden boxes and various custom-made
shelves above the workstations in the
kitchen, and we has just started the next
project, which is a buffet where the juice
machine can be integrated.
Not just a standard solution
And according to Karsten Felvang, a lot of
work has been done on 昀氀exibility.
"The buffets are multifunctional and it just
works so well. They are easy to 'rebuild'
regardless of whether the need is a
breakfast buffet, lunch or banquet. There
are upper shelves that can be removed,
the bread boxes can be removed, and
then they can be rolled right to where
"It will be quite unique to create such a
solution that is mobile and can be moved
around", concludes Karsten Felvang.
